Membership Information
The Forum was established to accelerate the widespread
acceptance of multiple application smart card technology by bringing together,
in an open forum, leading users and technologists from both the public and
private sectors.
The Forum's goals are to lead the smart card industry forward
by establishing a vision for interoperability, establish an environment that
facilitates market trials, provide objective and timely smart card information
to members, and to develop cross industry positions on issues relevant to
technology and business.
By becoming a member, your organization will enjoy the following

- Networking: Through participation in Smart Card Forum
events, you will have the opportunity to meet, network, and partner with key
players in the smart card industry.
- Education: The Smart Card Forum actively educates its
members through this site and encourages
the members to participate in (and benefit from) Working Group meetings.
Events and Committees address a wide range of timely topics including privacy,
interoperability, multi-application, and standards development.
- Information: The SCAFI newsletter, publications, and events
are all timely and dynamic. These documents and events highlight the major issues,
pilots, programs and challenges pertaining to smart cards.
